On April 19, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) froze the immovable property of Surat Singh, a key operative of Khalistani terrorists Habib Khan, alias Doctor, and Lakhveer Singh, alias Rode, in Fazilka District of Punjab, reports the Economic Times. This arrest is related to a 2021 case about a fatal motorcycle-borne explosion in Punjab. NIA investigations have revealed that Habib Khan and Rode collaborated with Surat Singh and other associates in India to create a terror gang in Punjab to perpetrate improvised explosive device (IED) blasts and operate a narco-terror racket to destabilise the region.
