On April 24, suspected Kuki militants exploded animprovised explosive device (IED) causing damages to a culvert bridgeat a location between Supermeina and (Koubru) Laikhaon the National Highway 102 in Kangpokpi District of Manipur, halting the transportation of heavy vehicles plying on the road which connects Imphal in Manipur and Dimapur in Nagaland, reports Northeast Now.
On Aprill 23, Security Forces (SFs) conducted search operations in Gangpijang Hill Range in Kangpokpi District of Manipur and recoveredone assault rifle with one magazine, a 12-inch single bore barrel gun, 23 live round ammunition and five fired cartridge cases, reports Northeast Now.
On April 24, a combined team consisting of Manipur Police and India Army personnel recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition along with explosives in Sabungkhok Khunao-Chanung ridge near Sabungkhok village in Imphal East District of Manipur, reports Northeast Now. The operation resulted in the recovery of four improvised long-range mortars (Pompi), one 9mm pistol, one 7.65mm pistol, two .303 rifles, ammunition and three grenades.
