On May 25, Border Security Force (BSF) stated on 'X' (formerly ‘Twitter’) that troops arrested a 21-year-old Bangladeshi national who had been exfiltrated and recovered one mobile phone, one Bangladeshi passport, one Bangladeshi national ID card, one train ticket from Howrah (West Bengal) to New Delhi, INR 2995, BDT 492, along with other documents and daily use items near the border fence in the Amritsar District of Punjab.
National Investigation Agency (NIA) filed a charge sheet against two CPI (Maoist) cadres, identified as Aghnu Ganjhu alias Agnu Ganjhu and Khudi Munda, in 2022 CPI (Maoist) arms and ammunition seizure case related to a conspiracy to attack Security Forces in Jharkhand reports NIA. The case was filed under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Arms Act, Explosive Substance Act, and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), 1967. The total number of persons charge-sheeted in this case is 31. Initially, nine persons were charge-sheeted by the Jharkhand State Police in case RC-02/2022/NIA/RNC.
On May 25, at least 15 men were arrested while two Christian families were rescued from an enraged mob that attacked their homes in Mujahid Colony in Sargodha city in Punjab Province of Pakistan, reports Dawn. More than 10 Police officers and personnel were injured due to stone pelting by the angry mob. No fatalities were reported.
