On May 8, one terrorist of The Resistance Front (TRF), identified as Mumin Mir, was killed in a gunfight with Security Forces (SFs) in Kulgam District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports The Daily Excelsior and India Today. The development follows a day after a top ‘commander’ of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) offshoot TRF, Basit Dar, and his associate, Faheem Ahmed Baba, were killed by SFs in the encounter. Dar was on the 'most wanted list' of security agencies and carried a bounty of INR 10, 00, 000. He was involved in more than 18 cases involving the killing of Police personnel and civilians.
