Two Army personnel were killed when Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) targeted an Army outpost with rocket-propelled grenades and other heavy weapons in Soraan area of Dhaddar in Kachhi District of Balochistan on January 7, reports Radio Zrumbesh. While claiming responsibility of the attack, BLA ‘spokesperson’ Jeehand Baloch said the attack lasted over 20 minutes in which the Army suffered heavy material losses. Two Army personnel were killed in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) explosion in Kohlu area (Kohlu District) of Balochistan on February 10, reports Dawn. “Based on credible intelligence, a sanitisation operation was initiated on February 10 in the Kohlu area of Balochistan to deny terrorists any liberty of action,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement. During the ensuing sanitisation of the area, the ISPR said, an IED exploded close to the leading party. “Resultantly, two officers — identified as Major Jawad and Captain Sagheer — embraced martyrdom and laid their lives in defence of the motherland against an externally perpetrated threat.”
