Nearly two kg of high quality chemical explosives, two AK rifles, and other arms and ammunition were recovered from the terrorists. Besides, sophisticated communication equipment, too, was recovered. The Uttar Pradesh police chief said the terrorists were on a suicide mission in the State. They were shot dead while on their way to Faizabad. Causing large-scale destruction, including violence during the Kumbh and demolition of the structure at Ayodhya, were the main objectives of the suicide squad.
