Pakistani soldiers shot dead an Afghan civilian at the Torkham border crossing in Nangarhar Province on January 5, reports Hasht-e Subh. Also, a Pakistani official was wounded by Taliban fighters. Clashes erupted between Pakistani forces and Taliban fighters at the Torkham border crossing. Local sources in Torkham pass said that the clash between Pakistani soldiers and Taliban fighters took place at 11:00 am. Taliban fighters and Pakistani soldiers have had clashes several times before in Torkham and Spin Boldak crossings.
