At least 62 people were killed and 33 others wounded in a bomb blast inside a mosque at Haska Mina District in Nangarhar Province in Afghanistan on October 18, reports Khaama Press. The Governor’s Office of Nangarhar in a statement said roof of the mosque collapsed following the explosion which left dozens of prayer participants dead or wounded. No individual or group has claimed responsibility for the attack currently.
Separately, 10 Islamic State (IS) militants were killed by Afghan Special Forces in Achin District of Nangarhar Province, reports Khaama Press on October 19.
