Daily Newsreports that twelve Fundamental Rights petitions filed over the Easter Sunday attacks are to be taken up before the Supreme Court on July 12. Attorney General Dappula de Livera will appear in person before the Supreme Court to represent the interests of the respondents. Through these petitions, petitioners are pleading an order to prosecute those who directly or indirectly responsible for terrorist attacks. They are also claiming compensations for the victims of the terrorist attacks.
