The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) on June 2 asked all the scheduled banks to provide details of bank accounts of 46 leaders of the dissolved committee of Hefazat-e-Islam (HeI) and several others of like-minded political parties and supporters, reports New Age. None of the individuals are on the newly announced HeI committee. The unit sent a letter in this regard to the scheduled banks on June 2. The letter asked the banks to provide bank account opening form, KYC (know your customer) form and bank transaction details since the account opening.
