Sri Lanka’s new Cabinet on August 19, granted approval for the new Government to abolish the 19th Amendment to the Constitution introduced by the previous Yahapalana Government, reports Colombo Page. Minister of Mass Media Keheliya Rambukwella, who was appointed as the Cabinet Spokesman, said the decision was taken at the first cabinet meeting of new Government. The first cabinet meeting of the new Government was chaired by the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa. Minister Rambukwella, said the Cabinet also approved the drafting of the 20th Amendment to the Constitution.
