The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on January 28 killed two Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists in an encounter inMauza Jhangi area under Vohawa Police Station of Dera Ghazi Khan District in Punjab, reports Dawn. CTD spokesperson said the CTD had received a credible information that four TTP terrorists were present in Tri-Border area of Mauza Jhangi and were to attack some check posts in the District. The slain terrorists, identified as Roid Khan and Hanifullah Khan, hailing from Shabqadar area of Charsadda District, were involved in terrorism incidents and reconnaissance of LEAs offices in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore and other cities of Punjab. Two others terrorists managed to flee taking an advantage of darkness. One Kalashnikov with 40 live bullets, a pistol along with 10 live bullets and explosive material, two detonators and as many hand grenades were recovered from the encounter spot.
