Drone was spotted hovering close to Indian Air Force (IAF) station in Satwari in Jammu District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India on July 21, reports Daily Excelsior. The drone returned immediately after being spotted near IAF station.The authorities have sounded alert and started massive checking at various security checkpoints in the area.
Indian Army is holding special training sessions with Village Defence Committee (VDC) members in Rajouri and Poonch Districts of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India to train them about drone spotting and handling of sophisticated weaponry, reports Kashmir Times on July 21.
Director General of Police (DGP) Dilbag Singh chaired a high-level joint security meeting on July 19, at the Police headquarters in Jammu in Jammu District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India to review the security scenario and directed officers to remain extra alert as terror outfits are continuously trying to use drones for terrorist activities, reports Rising Kashmir.
