Three terrorist and two soldiers killed during an exchange of fire in Hassankhel area of Peshawar, the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, on October 4, reports Daily Times. Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said terrorists fired on a military convoy in Hassankhel. “Troops initiated a prompt response, effectively engaged and killed three terrorists,” the ISPR said. The dead soldiers were identified as Lance Naik Muhammad Pannah (30), resident of Jaffarabad District, and Frontier Constabulary’s Sepoy Shams Ullah (36), resident of South Waziristan District. Arms and ammunitions were recovered from the possession of slain terrorists.
Meanwhile, four terrorists were killed by Security Forces (SFs) during an operation in the general area of Tank town (Tank District) on October 4, reports Daily Times. ISPR said the troops had observed terrorists’ movement and subsequently engaged them in combat. ISPR added that the militants were involved in target killing, kidnapping, and extortion in the area, and weapons and ammunition were recovered from them.
Separately, one terrorist was killed during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Mattani area of Peshawar on October 6, reports Geo News. ISPR said that the terrorist remained actively involved in terror activities against SFs and the killing of innocent citizens. Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the possession of slain terrorists.
