Police arrested five Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres in two separate incidents from Sukma and Narayanpur Districts of Chhattisgarh on May 6, reports Dainik Bhaskar. In the first incident, Police forces with Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) 219 Battalion personnel in a joint search operation arrested two CPI-Maoist cadres identified as Uika Aitha and Madkam Hadma from Elaramdgu in Sukma District of Chhattisgarh. During their interrogation, the arrested Maoist duo accepted that they have killed Police Constables Dhaniram Kashyap and Punem Hadma and dumped their dead bodies on the road in Bhejji area with Konta Area Committee ‘secretary’ Madangu, ‘militia commander’ Gajendra and Kawasi Honga along with other Naxals [Left Wing Extremism (LWE)] on April 15. Security Forces (SFs) recovered bloodstained rod used during the murder of Police Constables from the location. In the second incident, SFs arrested two CPI-Maoist cadres identified as Ganesh Ram Nurati and Lakhmu Ram Nurati, associated with Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Kohkameta area were arrested in Narayanpur District. Another CPI-Maoist cadre identified as Balram Korram alias Baliram is arrested. He is associated with firing on SFs during search operation in Chote Dager area.
