Former members of disbanded Saoraigwra led National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB-S) have demanded general amnesty for Ranjan Daimari, former chairman of NDFB-R, reports Northeast Now. In a press conference at Bhergaon in Udalguri District of Assam on September 18, the former NDFB-S members, has demanded the release of Rajan Daimari and other members of NDFB-S who are languishing in jail as per the clauses of the third Bodo Accord. Daoharo Boro, the vice-president of Udalguri chapter of former NDFB Welfare Society stated that the organization has appealed the Assam home and political department to initiate measures for the unconditional release and rehabilitation of former militants as per the clauses of the accord. Boro also urged the people to vote for the Pramod Boro-led United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL).
