Two persons, identified as Ali Hossain and Amir Sheikh, were arrested along with nine pistols, five pipe weapons, 67 dwell cartridges, six empty magazines and Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) worth INR 60,000 in Shankarpur of Murshidabad District, West Bengal reports heraldpublicist.com on September 17.
In a separate incident, two persons, identified as Akubbar Sardar and Amin Sanfui, were arrested in Jibantala area, South 24 Pargana District along with three factory-made single barrel guns, three country made small firearms, one six-chambered small firearm, one 7.5 mm pistol, two live ammunition, six unfinished iron-body pistol magazine, 3.6 kg gun powder and a large number of accessories for manufacturing arms on September 15, reports Indian Express. As per Baruipur Superintendent of Police (SP) Rashid Khan, Sardar and his associate Sanfui (43) were arrested, while another accused, Wahab Molla managed to escape.
