Secretary-General of INTERPOL Jürgen Stock while meeting with Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe at Temple Trees in Colombo on August 27 said the support given to him by the Prime Minister, who has well understood the need to work together to launch a common program to combat global terrorism and ensure global security, helped to improve the global security program, reports Colombo Page. Highlighting the strong cooperation between INTERPOL and Sri Lanka following the April 21 bomb attacks Secretary General pointed out that the political support and guidance given by Mr. Wickremesinghe following the Easter Sunday bombings in Sri Lanka and the commitment of the Sri Lankan Police and the security forces made it possible to arrest all the suspects in a short period of time.
