The 40th Battalion of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) on September 27 recovered an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) weighing seven kilograms, suspected to be planted by Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), from an under-construction road linking Bega Salewara to Samudpani near Pandaripani Village in Bakarkatta gram panchayat (village level local self-Government institution) in Rajnandgaon District of Chhattisgarh, reports United News of India. The IED was later defused by the ITBP personnel.
