Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) party has called Telangana bandh (general shut down strike) on December 27 to protest the encounter undertaken jointly by Security Forces (SFs) of Chhattisgarh and Maharashtra, reports telugupost.com. Due to the bandh call the Venkatapuram-Vajedu Road was deserted, while the Police made heavy security in the agency areas. Some shops in the agency area were also voluntarily closed. Earlier, South Asia Terrorism Portal (SATP) had reported the incident on December 23, in which two CPI-Maoist cadres, including a woman, were killed in a forest area near Tekameta village under Farsegarh Police Station limits in Bijapur District of Chhattisgarh.
