An assistant constable was killed in broad daylight attack by Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres near Mirtur Police Station limits in Bijapur District of Chhattisgarh on April 10, reports hindi.oneindia.com. Constable Gopal Kadhati (35) was attacked when he was on his way back from home to the Police Station after patrolling duty. It is being told that around 500 meters from the Police Station, 10 to 12 plainly dressed Small Action Team Maoists attacked Gopal with a sharp weapon and escaped from the place.
