Chief Minister (CM) Conrad Sangma on December 4 said that he would study the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill (CAB), 2019, which was approved by the Union Cabinet today, before taking a decision on it, reports The Assam Tribune. CM Sangma said: “I have not seen the content…once we go through it (CAB), we would be in a better position to decide.” He, however, added that “the most important thing to note is that the Union Government has adopted a different approach” this time while approving of the Bill.
