A militant was killed during an exchange of fire in North Waziristan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa when a group of terrorists from Afghanistan attempted to break the border fence near the Kanjeera and Wargar Sar military posts on July 3, reports Dawn. One Security Force (SF) personnel, identified as Saqib, suffered injuries in the encounter.
Meanwhile, three soldiers sustained gunshot wounds when militants attack a military post in Serrai Kandaw near the Pak-Afghan border in the Tirah valley of Khyber District on July 3, reports Dawn. The militants escaped when SFs returned fire.
Separately, a polio vaccinator, Shershah, was severely injured after unidentified assailants opened fire on him in Madakhel area of Mir Ali tehsil (revenue unit) in North Waziristan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on July 2, reports The Express Tribune.
