Militants triggered a low intensity Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast near Indian Army Casper vehicle in the Turkawangam area of Shopian District in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India on May 16, reports Daily Excelsior. There was no loss of life or injury in this IED blast. The Security Forces (SFs) had input regarding planting of IED by militants and went to detect it but militants exploded the same from a distance. The area has been cordoned off and searches launched to nab the attackers, said Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar.
