On October 24, one person identified as Roshan Din was arrested on suspicion of spying for Pakistan from Barmer District in Rajasthan, reports Hindustan Times. According to Umesh Mishra, Additional Director-General of Police (ADG), Intelligence, Roshan Din who worked as a JCB driver in the Bharat Mala Project on the India-Pakistan border in Barmer used to share confidential details about the movement of security forces’ vehicles in the border area with an ISI (Inter-Services Intelligence) agent in lieu of monetary benefits.
This was the third case of espionage reported from Barmer in the last four months. Previously in August and September, Mushtaq Ali and Meera Khan were arrested from Barmer on similar charges.
