Sri Lanka’s main opposition party Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) on May 3 handed over two no-confidence motions against the government and President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to the Speaker, the Chief Opposition Whip Lakshman Kiriella said, reports Colombo Page. The Leader of Opposition and SJB, Sajith Premadasa handed over the two no-confidence motions that were brought against the government and the President to the Speaker at the Speaker’s official residence. Handing over the two no-confidence motions to the Speaker, the Opposition Leader said a decisive step has been taken today for the victory demanded by the people of this country. The Leader of the Opposition stated that the SJB is functioning in line with aspirations of people and that people can now identify the people's representatives who do not sign and do not support the no-confidence motions that reflect public aspirations.
