Police busted a Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) camp on the Chhattisgarh border and seized several incriminating materials, including Naxal [Left Wing Extremism, LWE] literature, cordex wire, and detonators, from Gadchiroli District of Maharashtra on March 30, reports The Hindu. In a swift response, an anti-Naxal operation was initiated, and the teams scaled a hilltop towering 450 metres high, only to find the Maoists had fled the area, District Superintendent of Police (SP) Neelotpal said on March 31, adding that a substantial Maoist camp and shelter were discovered and promptly demolished, followed by thorough searches.
