The Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) opened fire on the Police personnel with the intention of harming the Security Forces (SFs) who were on a search operation in Partapur village under Koyalibeda Tehsil (revenue unit) in Kanker District of Chhattisgarh on March 2, reports naidunia.com. The Maoists fled after the Police retaliated, after which the SFs recovered large quantity of firecrackers, battery used for Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast, pipe used in pipe bombs, Maoist uniform, banners and daily use material were recovered from the camp of the Maoists.
