On September 9, Pakistani Army solder, identified as Lance Naik Jamshed Khan (28) was killed during an exchange of fire with terrorists in Mir Ali area in North Waziristan District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, reports Dawn. The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) issued a press release stating, “Own troops effectively engaged terrorists’ location. However, during intense exchange of fire, Lance Naik Jamshed Khan (age 28 years, resident of District Upper Dir), having fought gallantly, embraced martyrdom.”
