Two Lashkar-e- Toiba (LeT) militants from Pakistan were killed in an encounter with Security Forces (SFs) and another is trapped in Upper Panghai forests of Thanamandi in Rajouri District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India on August 6, when they were on way to Dera Ki Gali (DKG) to reach Mughal Road and cross over to J&K after infiltration from the Line of Control (LoC) along with large quantity of arms, ammunition and explosives, reports Daily Excelsior. The search operation was on and cordon has been further tightened amid reports about presence of one more militant in the area and SFs recovered made two AK-47 rifles, seven magazines, four grenades, pouches, medicine packets from the location, said Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Rajouri-Poonch range Vivek Gupta. The identity of slain militants is yet to be ascertained.
One militant is killed in an encounter with SFs in Mochwa area of Budgam District of J&K in India on August 7 (today), reports Greater Kashmir. SFs have recovered an AK 47 rifle and a pistol from the slain militant's possession while further search is going on at the encounter site. The identity of slain militant is yet to be ascertained.
Police recovered two wireless sets, two adapters, one torch and mobile data cable from near Sheep Farm at Balnoi in Mankote area in Poonch District in J&K in India on August 6, reports Daily Excelsior.
