Three Naxalites [Left Wing Extremists, LWEs], including the ‘sub-zonal commander’ of the Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC), a splinter group of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), have been arrested by the Police while planning to carry out the incident in Katkamdag railway siding in Hazaribagh District of Jharkhand, reports prabhatkhabar.com on January 11. A huge cache of weapons has been recovered from the arrested Naxalites. The arrested Naxalites include TPC's ‘sub-zonal commander’ Saryu Ageria alias Kapil alias Nanku Ageria of Chope village in Simaria under Chatra District, active squad member Rajiv Ganjhu alias Dwarf Ganjhu of Bongabad and Bablu Ganjhu of Tandwa Dhangadda. A carbine, a pistol of 7.65 mm, a magazine of 7.65 mm, a pistol, 21 cartridges of 8 mm, 4 cartridges of 7.65 mm, four cartridges of 7.62 mm and three mobiles have been seized from their possession.
Meanwhile, Jharkhand Jan Mukti Parishad (JJMP) ‘sub-zonal commander’ Bhavani surrendered before the Police in Palamu District of Jharkhand on Jharkhand 8, reports prabhatkhabar.com. Bhavani, a resident of Huntar located in Ramgarh Police Station limits in Palamu, was active in Latehar and Garhwa Districts. He was earlier associated with Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC) and joined JJMP in the year 2016. He was made ‘commander’ after JJMP hardcore extremists Mahesh Bhuyan and Ramsunder Ram were killed in an encounter. Bhavani's surrender has dealt a big blow to the JJMP organization, because it was because of Bhavani's activity that JJMP was creating panic in the areas of Palamu division. JJMP and TPC are splinter groups of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist).
