Police arrested a top cadre of the Tritiya Prastuti Committee (TPC), a splinter group of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist), identified as Kuleshwar Kumar Yadav alias Ditol Yadav (27)during a special raid operation, from Bidra under Pipratand Police Station in Palamu District of Jharkhand on November 4, reports prabhatkhabar.com. Kuleshwar Kumar had demanded INR 1 million as ‘levy’ (extortion money) from the contractor of Right-Way Commerce Private Limited, engaged in constructing three high-level bridges in Chaupa Pakhal Nala, Duldubwa Nala, and Bulbul Nala under the Pesharar Police Station area, at the behest of Prabhat ji and Vikas ji, ‘zonal commanders’ of the TPC. Two Android mobile phones with SIMs installed were recovered from the arrested militant.
