Two accomplices of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) operative Hilal Ahmad Wagay linked to a drug-terror nexus were arrested from Amritsar District of Punjab on May 8, reports The Tribune. The arrested accomplices were identified as – Ranjit Singh and Jaswant Singh, both residents of Kalanaur town in Gurdaspur District of the State. The arrest comes a day after two accomplices (Bikram Singh alias Vicky and Maninder Singh alias Mani) of Wagay, a close associate of HM ‘chief’ Reyaz Naikoo, were arrested from the District on May 6. The Police Commissioner Sukhchain Singh Gill said preliminary investigation pointed towards drug money from Punjab being used in fuelling terror in Kashmir.
