Sangai Express reports that three cadres belonging to the Mobile Task Force of Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP), identified as Ningthoujam Ibochouba alias Nonglei (45), Wairakpam Sunil Singh (33) and Khangembam Promila alias Abai Devi (33), were arrested by a team of Imphal West Police from Minuthong area on December 1. Ibochouba joined the outfit in July 2010 through one Samananda of Kongpal Mutum Leikai and worked under the command of one Kesho of Mobile Task Force of KCP, while adding that Sunil and Promila joined the same group through Ibochouba.

Imphal East District Police arrested two militants from different parts of the District on December 5, reports Sangai Express. A cadre of the People’s Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK), identified as Laishram Lakpati Singh alias Ibomcha (38), was arrested from Ningomthongjao Bridge along with one 9 mm pistol loaded with two live rounds. Lakpati disclosed that he joined PREPAK in March 2010 through one Thokchom Kanta alias Kant Singh of Bashikhong Lamlong Mari Phangba and he is now working under his command. Furthermore, Lakpati disclosed that he was involved in extortion of money from general public, provided shelter to other PREPAK cadres and help in transportation of arms and ammunition of the outfit from one place to another, the SP informed. A team of the District Police arrested one People’s United Liberation Front (PULF) cadre, identified as Mohammad Faruk Khan alias Lucky (25) from Sanjenthong area and recovered one demand note in the name of Azad faction of the PULF addressed to Director of Horticulture and Soil Conservation Department from his possession. The arrested cadre disclosed that he joined PULF in March 2010 through one Ayub Ali and is now working under his command and he was involved in extortion of money from general public, Government officials, etc.

Six militants, including a couple, of different banned outfits have been arrested since December 26 in separate search operations in Manipur, the Police said on December 27, reports Shillong Times. Three militants belonging to the People's Revolutionary Party of Kangleipak (PREPAK) were arrested by Police commandos from Uripok, Lamlong and Laphupat tera in Imphal West and Bishenpur Districts. Three militants belonging to the Kangleipak Communist Party-Military Task Force (KCP-MTF) were arrested from Langthabal area. According to Police sources, one 9mm pistol and some ammunitions were seized from the possession of the PREPAK militants.
