Chief District Officer of Jumla Damodar Pant and two civilians died in the assault reports said. Several hundred insurgents are feared dead in security forces counter offensives in Jumla. A report added that the number could be as high as 300, besides, the 55 confirmed killed, whose bodies have been recovered. Also, 33 policemen and four soldiers were killed in the clashes in Jumla. In the clashes in Gorkha, 23 policemen and at least 63 Maoist insurgents have been confirmed killed. Besides, the security forces recovered four SLRs, seven 303 rifles, shotguns, explosives, bullets and spares of automatic weapons in Jumla after the clashes, the Defence Ministry said. However, the insurgents managed to loot several .303 rifles from the police. Also, they looted NR 1.9 million from the Rashtriya Banijya Bank. Inspector General of Police Pradip SJB Rana visited the sites of the clashes in Jumla.
