The Police raided the house of a prayer leader Maulvi Jalaluddin at the refugee camp and arrested him along with his four sons, including Haroonur Rashid, Bihlol Khan, Saeedullah and Salahuddin. It was reported that Jalaluddin had regular contacts with the Pakistani and Afghan militants. The sources said that Police also recovered a cache of arms, including an LMG rocket, one LMG barrel, 10 kilogrammes of explosives, two hand-grenades, five detonators, 22 explosive crackers, 13 fuses and 300 cartridges from the house.

Three of the terrorists were identified as Ismail, Naeemullah and Aleem Jan.Separately, four terrorists were killed in Madayan area in Swat, during a clash with SFs. Meanwhile, a suicide bomber blew himself up in Gumbat area of Batkhela in Malakand region, injuring three soldiers, as a team of security officials had launched a search operation against suicide bombers in the area. Sources said that officials had besieged the bomber who exploded himself up, whereas, another would be bomber along with four other suspected terrorists were arrested during the search operation in Batkhela.

Officials said that SFs raided Afghan refugees` camp in Mayar after getting information about the presence of militants there and arrested eight suspected militants. The arrested persons were identified as Shad Mohammad, Mohammad Bacha, Bacha Gul, Lal Zeb, Zaheer Abbas, Najibullah, Ismael and Wazir Khan. District Police Officer Saleem Marwat said that four of the arrested persons belonged to Afghanistan. Out of the remaining four militants, two were residents of Shamozai area in Swat District and two belonged to Mardan District, he added. Two small machineguns, four guns, eight pistols and four rifles were recovered from the possession of the arrested persons.

Police sources said that five militants were arrested during separate raids in Jehangira town in Nowshera District and in Katlang tehsil (revenue unit) in Mardan District. Three of the arrested militants were said to be involved in the assassination of Hanif Gul Jadoon. The detained militants were identified as Tahir Khan alias Abu Tahir, Mohammad Obaid alias Abu Obaid and Mohammad Quaid Khan.
