Zubaidullah Khan was an officer of the Information Group and was currently posted as director of Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) in Islamabad. He was visiting his family village for Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. The other two victims were identified as Farmanullah and Naimatullah. All the three victims belonged to the Dawar tribe, Police said, and were returning home after offering Eid prayers when unidentified motorcycle riders opened fire on them before escaping.

The Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres vandalised a forest beat office and injured two of its guards at Gatta Jambia village in Etapalli Taluka (revenue sub-division) of Bhamragarh division in Gadchiroli District of Maharashtra on June 10, reports The Times of India. A Police official said around 15 armed Maoists reached the forest office and assaulted two forest guards identified as, Govinda Dohtare of Gatta Beat and Raju Zore of Kunjemarka Beat. They decamped with the guards’ personal belongings including mobile phones and also set ablaze a two-wheeler belonging to one of the guards. The Maoists seemed to have carried out the attack to protest against the construction of a road connecting to the remote village in the District, the official added.

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement, the encounter took place between Security Forces (SFs) and militants on the Coastal Highway when a convoy of OGDCL was being escorted from Gwadar (Balochistan) to Karachi (Sindh). "Security forces responded effectively, ensured security of the OGDCL persons and managed their safe exit from the area," the press release said, adding that "substantial losses were also incurred to the terrorists" during the clash. Baloch Raaji Aajoi Sangar (BRAS) claimed the responsibility of the attack. In an email sent to media outlets, the BRAS claimed that “BRAS fighters eliminated more than 15 enemy personnel and agents of exploitative company” in the attack.

Militants lobbed a grenade on a CRPF party in Tawheed Chowk of Ganderbal injuring six persons, identified as Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Nitbal Singh, Constable Anand Mal, Manoj Sipahi and Head Constable RN Manojan, all from CRPF’s 115 battalion, besides Head Constable of Police, Mohammad Sulemaan and BDO of Wakoora, Syed Nasrullah.
