Unidentified terrorists attacked a maternity ward run byMédecins Sans Frontières(MSF) (Doctors Without Borders) killing 16 civilians, including two new-borns, in Dasht-e Barchi area, a Hazara Shia dominated neighbourhood, of Kabul city of Kabul Province on May 12, reports Al Jazeera. Security Forces killed four terrorists on the site, who an eyewitness said were wearing Afghan military uniforms adds The Khaama Press. The Ministry of Interior says 72 civilians, including children, were rescued. Unnamed sources said there is a guesthouse of foreign nationals behind the hospital and this was the target of the attackers who wanted to get access through the health facility. The Taliban denied their involvement in the attack.
