Cadres of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) abducted and killed a villager identified as Bhagchand Adme (45), after accusing him of being a ‘Police informer’ in Balaghat District of Madhya Pradesh on June 29, reports The Times of India. A hand-written pamphlet was found near his dead body, saying Bhagchand was an ‘informer’ and therefore he is being ‘sentenced to death’. Police said, cadres of the Malanjkhand area committee of Tada dalam (armed squad) are suspected to be behind the killing of Bhagchand, a resident of Bamhani village under Bithali Police outpost, situated near Kanha National Park. Balaghat, Superintendent of Police (SP), Abhishek Tiwari, said, Police teams are out looking for the Maoists.
