On November 30, the International Crimes Tribunal, led by Justice Mohammad Shahinur Islam, sentenced seven people to death for committing a series of crimes against humanity, including murder and rape, in Bagerhat District of Khulna Division during the 1971 Liberation War, reports Bd News 24. The convicts were identified as Khan Akram Hossain, Sheikh Mohammad Ukil Uddin, Mohammad Mollah, Khan Arshad Ali, Rustom Ali Molla, Sheikh Idris Ali, and Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Babul. Only Khan Akram Hossain, Sheikh Mohammad Ukil Uddin, and Mohammad Mollah were present in the dock when the verdict was announced.
