The Border Security Force (BSF) in Punjab is on high alert after receiving intel that militants from Pakistan are trying to infiltrate into India to strike at vulnerable targets, especially when the nation’s focus is on containing coronavirus (Covid-19), reports The Times of India on April 1. As per the intelligence sources, the militants of Islamic State (IS) could attempt to cross into India through the International Border (IB) in Punjab. “They (Islamic State militants) presume it is the right time to strike, especially when the government is using all of its resources and has focused its attention on checking the spread of coronavirus,” said the sources.
