The Border Security Force (BSF) troops detected at least two Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) dumps and seized a huge quantity of arms and ammunition during an operation in the general area of Gomphakonda Reserve Forest areas under Kalimela Police Station limit in Malkangiri District of Odisha on August 29, reports The Print. During the search operation in the targeted area, the BSF personnel located an old Maoist dump in the Reserve Forest, in the Marigetta-Tekguda axis, under Kalimela police station limits," an official release said. In another operation, the troops detected a Maoist dump near Taber village in Swabhiman Anchal in Malkangiri District. The recovered items included arms and ammunition, three Single Barrel Muzzle Loading (SBML) rifles, 101 gelatin sticks, and two electric detonators.
