A group of CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans defused a landmine planted by Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres in Malkangiri District of Odisha on May 4, reports KalingaTV. The CPI-Maoistoperations were foiled by the CoBRA jawans in the Minapa Jungle of Sukma District in Chhattisgarh, bordering Malkangiri District. Security Forces (SFs) were on their way for combing operation in the area. CPI-Maoist cadres planted more than 10 kg landmine in the jungle as they targeted the SFswho were on operation. The SFs recovered the landmine with the help of the metal detector and destroyed it by exploding it and the search operations have been intensified by the Police after the detection of the landmine.
