Assam Police arrested two cadres of the Adivasi People Liberation Army (APLA), identified as Bimal Khol (27) and Karan Lohar (26), from the Maibang area in Dima Hasao District of Assam on April 25, reports India Today NE on April 30. As per reports, Khol is an employee (driver) of the Maibong Town Committee and is suspected of recruiting the persons in the organisation as he asked and influenced tribal youths to join APLA. On the disclosure of the arrested militants, three more APLA cadres, identified as Nipesh Rikiason (25), Joydeep Bhumij (20) and Biju Karmakar (26), were arrested by the Police from the Harangajao area in Dima Hasao District.
