Three ‘The Resistance Front’ (TRF) militants were killed during an encounter with Security Forces (SFs) in Pombay area of Kulgam District in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) on November 17, reports Greater Kashmir.
Further, two militants including a commander of TRF, Afaq Sikander, was killed during an encounter with Security Forces (SFs) in Gopalpora area of Kulgam District on November 17, reports Greater Kashmir. Afaq Sikander, resident of Ray Kapren area of Shopian District, was ‘District commander’ of TRF and was active since December 2020. Another militant, identified as Irfan Mushtaq Lone of Shadcheck area of Shopian District, was active since June 2021.
Separately, two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and two civilians were injured after militants lobbed a grenade on CRPF party in Palhalan chowk in Baramulla District on November 17, reports Daily Excelsior.
