Syed Khalid Raza (55), former commander of Al Badr outfit, was shot dead by Sindhudesh Revolutionary Army (SRA) outside his residence in Block-7 of Gulistan-i-Jauhar town in Karachi, the provincial capital of Sindh, in the evening of February 26, reports Dawn. Syed Khalid Raza was the deputy director of the Darul Arqam Schools in Karachi region. He was also the vice chairman of the Federation of Private Schools Pakistan. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), East Zone, Zubair Nazeer Shaikh said that the victim came out of his home towards his car parked nearby. Assailants on a motorcycle emerged there, opened fire at him and rode away. He suffered a single bullet wound in the head and died on the spot. SRA through its Telegram channel claimed responsibility for the killing, terming him as an operative of the religious extremist terrorist organization "Al-Badr" and an instrument of Pakistani agencies.
