On May 29, four Jamaat-e Islami (JeI) leaders were released at 7:30 pm [BST] by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) situated in Dhaka following a short detention that took place on the same day at 4:40pm., reports The Daily Star. The detention began when the JeI leaders went to the DMP office to request authorization to hold a protest on June 5.
