The Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) on March 5 (today) recovered a rusted grenade at Bus Stand in Kupwara District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India, reports Daily Excelsior. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Kupwara, Shriram Ambarkar, said a rusted grenade has been found in bus stand area of Kupwara, and the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) was informed and the grenade has been recovered from the spot safely.
Security Forces (SFs) on March 5 (today) launched a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in Baramulla District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) in India, reports Daily Excelsior. Official sources said that following specific information about presence of militants, a joint CASO was launched by Special Operations Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP), 29 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and 176 battalion of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) at Kreeri in Baramulla and the SFs conducted door-to-door searches in the area. “Search operation was also going in adjoining fields and orchards,” the officials said, adding so far, no contact has been established with militants.
