The Gujarat Police on December 13, arrested a 33-year-old man from Surat for allegedly spying and working as an agent of the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI, reports India Today. The accused, identified as Deepak Kishor Bhai Salunkhe, is a resident of Yogeshwar Park society, located in Surat's Bhuvneswari Nagar. He was arrested by the crime branch officials on the basis of the inputs provided by the military intelligence from Pune-based southern army command. Sources further said that the alleged ISI agent was in contact with two Pakistan-based handlers, Hamid and Kashif and was "operating a financial module which was receiving /transferring money to serving officials as well as civilians in lieu of crucial information.
