A Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadre carrying a bounty of INR 200,000 was arrested by the Police from Gatta village in Etapalli Taluka (administrative division) in Gadchiroli District of Maharashtra on January 15, reports UNI. As per Gadchiroli Superintendent of Police (SP), Ankit Goyal, the arrested Maoist has been identified as Karan alias Dulsa Narote, a member of the Naxal [Left Wing Extremist, LWE] action team. Karan was involved in 16 multiple crimes, including six murders, four encounters, two robberies, three arson and abduction.
